Tour information

Your tour is supplied and organised by Roundabout Shetland, Daala-mist, Longfield, Dunrossness, Shetland, ZE2 9JH. If you have any special requirements in relation to the tour please let Roundabout Shetland know prior to the tour.  Roundabout Shetland will use all reasonable endeavours to offer the tour as described on the website but reserves the right to make changes that will not materially affect the nature or quality of the tour – for example (though not exclusively) in the event of bad weather, site closures or health and safety requirements.

Cancellations

  • If less than seven days notice of cancellation is given – 50 per cent of the fees is payable.

  • If less than 48 hours notice of cancellation – the full fee is payable

  • In the even of a customer's cruise ship cancelling its visit to Shetland, a full refund will be given.

Booking and payment

Bookings can be made via the website, by email, phone, text or letter. You are required to pay the full balance of the price on booking. Confirmation of your booking and receipt of payment will be sent via the website, email, mail or text.  Payment (in Sterling) may be made by cash, cheque, bank transfer, PayPal or credit/debit card. If sending payment from abroad, you must ensure that all bank and other charges on the transaction are paid so that the correct amount (in Sterling) is received by Roundabout Shetland.

Liability

Roundabout Shetland holds current public liability insurance and motor insurance. The liability of Roundabout Shetland is limited to loss or damage caused by its own negligence and does not extend to wrongful, negligent, or arbitrary acts or omissions by other contractors, their employees, agents, servants or representatives. You are advised to take out your own cancellation/travel insurance for the duration of the tour in respect of cancellation and curtailment, injury, death, lost baggage and money, liability, medical expenses and repatriation. Selkie Ventures shall not be liable to you for any delay or failure to provide a tour as a result of a Force Majeure Event including but not limited to strikes, lock-outs or other industrial disputes, failure of a utility service or transport network, act of God,war, riot, civil commotion, malicious damage, compliance with any law or governmental order, rule, regulation or direction, accident, breakdown of plant or machinery, fire, flood, storm or default of suppliers or subcontractors.

Complaints

If you have a complaint before or during the tour this should be brought to the attention of Roundabout Shetland immediately.  If resolution is not possibly immediately you should write to Roundabout Shetland as soon as possible after the tour. Delay in so doing may affect any claim.
